The Hong Kong Puppet and Shadow Art Center is an arts organization founded by Wong Fai Puppet and Shadow of Hong Kong. It aim to perform in Hong Kong, and to organize study courses and exhibitions. To foster public interest in traditional Chinese arts, the centre actively involves itself in staging various performances and arranges educational activities. It is one of Hong Kongˇ¦s most active arts organization in respect of traditional Chinese marionettes and shadow puppetry.
Artists
Wong Fai – The director of Wong Fai Puppet and Shadow and main actor of Winning Glove Puppets Art Troupe. He is also a member of China Puppet and Shadow Arts Institute and International Puppet Art Federation. He was under the apprentice of famous “Puppet & Shadow” actor Mr. Tan De Gui in Hunan Puppet and Shadow Art Troupe of China, famous “Puppet” actor Mr. Huang Yi Que and Mr. Li Yi Quan in 70’s.
